SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (Monday, Nov. 17, 2008) – Since opening just six months ago, the closest casino to Indianapolis is getting closer to welcoming its 1 millionth guest.
Indiana Live! Casino anticipates celebrating this major milestone in the next few weeks. And a party is planned, with falling streamers and balloons and a generous reward from the casino itself.
“We will welcome our millionth guest who walks through our doors their choice of either 1 million credits on our penny slot machines, $10,000 in free slot play or $5,000 in cash – whichever they choose,” said Mark Hemmerle, general manager of Indiana Live! Indiana Live! Casino opened June 9 in a temporary, 70,000-square-foot structure on the grounds of Indiana Downs with more than 1,900 slot machines and electronic table games and a café catered by Wolfgang Puck.
Today, construction continues on the permanent Indiana Live! Casino, which will be a 233,000-square-foot site connected to Indiana Downs that will feature not only more than 1,900 slot machines and electronic table games but also dining and entertainment destinations including Maker’s Mark Steakhouse, NASCAR Sports Grille, the Live Market featuring international cuisine and the Mosaic Bar and Lounge featuring entertainment – all under one roof.
