INDIANA LIVE CASINO NAMES VICE PRESIDENT OF SLOT OPERATIONS

SHELBYVILLE, Ind.
(Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008) – A gaming industry
veteran with nearly two decades of experience working with and overseeing
casino slot operations has joined the staff of the closest casino to
Indianapolis.
Paul Cornish has been named vice president of slot operations at Indiana Live Casino.
A native of Milwaukee, he has worked in the gaming industry for nearly two decades at casinos throughout the country, serving as a slot technician, lead technician, assistant director and director of slots at properties including Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and MotorCity Casino in Detroit.
Before joining Indiana Live Casino, Cornish served as vice president of slot operations at Majestic Star Casino in Gary.
“Overseeing our slots operation is an extremely critical position at Indiana Live Casino as we have more than 1,900 machines awaiting our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year,” said Mark Hemmerle, general manager of Indiana Live Casino. “The machines undergo a vigorous schedule of daily maintenance and upkeep to ensure that they’re available when our guests arrive. I am confident Paul’s many years of gaming industry knowledge will be a tremendous asset to Indiana Live Casino today, as we continue to welcome guests at our temporary facility, and in early 2009 when we open our permanent, 233,000-square-foot casino.”
Cornish earned an associate degree in electronics from Education Dynamics Institute in Las Vegas and is currently working on a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Cornish lives in Crown Point and has five children and two grandchildren.
Indiana Live Casino features more than 1,900 high-tech slot machines and electronic table games and an eatery catered by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. In early 2009, the casino’s permanent 233,000-square-foot facility will open adjacent to Indiana Downs and feature nationally renowned restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
