Executive chef named at soon-to-open

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009) – Andrew Miller has been named executive chef of the new Maker’s Mark Bourbon House & Lounge inside Indiana Live! Casino.
Originally from Scipio, Ind., Miller previously was chef at the 909 Grille in Muncie, Ind.; executive chef at Old Oakland Golf Club in Indianapolis; and executive chef at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers, Ind. During his career, he has won silver and bronze medals in American Culinary Federation (ACF) sanctioned Mystery Basket and Cold Food competitions.
Miller earned a degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University in 1991, a bachelor’s degree in biology from Ball State University in 2005 and is currently working on earning a master’s degree in nutrition at Ball State.
He resides in Fishers with wife Stephanie and four children. He is a member of the ACF and enjoys volunteering his time at Second Helpings, an Indianapolis mission as well as The Muncie Mission.
Maker’s Mark Bourbon House & Lounge will feature an open wood-burning oven, oversized tables, high-back leather chairs and soft music for the perfect ambiance. The high-end, 205-seat steakhouse will be conveniently located near Indiana Live! Casino’s front entrance.
